Even more photos of cool goings-on a little south of
Houston! Some photos of the sand castle contest while the sand creations were being
built!
The final pictures of Galveston Sand Castles lacked something (the
photos shown on the previous page). They didn't show what it took to get to that
stage. They lacked people. This was a "serious" event! I mean, they
brought in landscape people, and then final detail people. They worked in shifts.
Then they brought out the beer, got wild and tore them all down!
And in the winter holiday season, there is also something to enjoy! Dickens on the strand - a beachside version of the old favorite, A Christmas Carol.
